A Bahtinov mask with a special pattern for reflector telescopes. It allows easier focusing and collimation control at the same time.
(use the arrows on the left and right sides in the middle of the frame to scroll through pictures)
The mask pattern is calculated according to an improved formula and brings better illumination, see the discussion on Cloudy Nights forum and the original design on GitHub.
Currently, musks are available for the following reflectors:
- Celestron C8 OTA
- Celestron EdgeHD 800 8 inch
- Celestron NextStar Evo 8 inch
- GSO (and similar) RC8 8 inch f/8 Ritchey-Chretien
- Vixen R220 SS 800mm Newton
Please note that the mask is created in two parts, which are then glued. Traces of glue along the border between the parts are possible. But this does not affect the function of the mask.
