Bubble leveler and smartphone distance adapter for the Benro Polaris Astro smart tripod head

The star tracking precision of the Benro Polaris Astro smart tripod head relies on exact leveling. For some reasons, Benro did not provide a leveler with Polaris Astro.

Additionally, some smartphones, for example, my iPhone 12 Pro, fail to deliver correct information to Polaris Astro during alignment. Most probably, the compass and gyro are distorted by metal parts in Polaris Astro. For reliable results, you need to hold the smartphone 5-10 cm away, but still well positioned with the tripod head during the Alignment process. This is pretty annoying even if doable.

This kit solves both problems. The provided bubble leveler has precision of 20-25' and is very easy to read up even in the dark since it has white background and the air bubble shows dark edges. The distance adapter is slit into the space between the astro extension and main body. You can leave it there. The smartphone is not held by the adapter, since the adapter is needed for the alignment step only and it does not make sense to mount the smartphone permanently for this purpose
